You must have missed the special "Area Studies" one.

I got zero. Mwoo hah hah!
(If I could figure out how to update my email online with MPSA, that might be rectified...)

You are behind the times. I complained publicly about this to the PolMeth listserv last year, and the response from the Midwest Association was that people liked it.
I have tracked it much more closely this year. I have received 10 emails in the last two weeks on my primary account and 4 on my secondary (hotmail) account.
As far as I can tell, the MPSA sends out emails to everyone on their list without checking for duplicates, and then sends out secondary emails to people in sections.
I'll communicate the same to Bill again. Not that I think it will make a difference.
No professional organization of which I am a member sends out even 1/10th as many reminders.

I know. I am a member/subscribe to PolMeth and remember your email last year.
The irony is that I almost forgot to submit a proposal on the 10th b/c I had been filing/deleting all the reminders with such regularity.
The deadline has been extended to 10/17, which they reminded me of....by EMAIL. :)
